I was wondering if something is possibel and if not now, would it be "easy" to implement. We as a local section would love to have an intranet where active can find all kind of information regarding upcoming events and static information about the organization.
With my "limited" IT knowledge, i see an intranet option by logging in thourgh Galaxy on the sections website (on the bottem below) and when you are logged in, you will have seperate menu item specially made for active members. This can also then be used to create a centralized database for active members mangement, including the committees they are active in, there address information etc.
Active members would get this access by having a special "role" within their account. This way we can also promote activating their ESN accounts (which currently is mostly limited to board members) and registrate their ESNcard.
If this is already possible i am not able to find it yet in any FAQ or in the ESN Toolbox. I think the difficuly lies in authorising certain pages and menus for people with a certain role. Altough this already kind of is the case with the webmasters role.
