Satellite 4

Hey,

I'm trying to update Satellite on our site which is using PHP 7.3.6 and getting this problem:

ESN Satellite (PHP) 7.3.6
Your PHP version (7.3.6) isn't supported because some contributed modules are not yet compatible with PHP 7.3.x.

Does this mean I won't be able to update our site with a new version of Satellite until the problem with incompatible modules is resolved?

Hey Kateryna,

have you tried to clear all caches?

You can clear the Drupal caches by either doing a "drush cc all" via SSH or by going to admin/config/development/performance and clicking on the "Clear all caches" button there.
You also have to clear all browser caches and then reload the site using CTRL + R or CTRL + F5.

Kind regards

Marco

Hey!

So thanks again for the advice - I contacted my hosting support and they indeed helped me. I was able to update Satellite to 4.7.1 but here comes another question.

So I believe with the new version of it, the shortcut icon should be changed to the new star. For some reason, it doesn't change and I'm really confused about it. I might be doing something wrong, tho. However, I conducted an experiment and default logo changes to a new star but the shortcut icon does not. Any advice on what I can do to fix this?

Thank you in advance!

Kateryna

I will for sure try and do that. Thank you very much, Marco!

Hi Kateryna,

unfortunately we cannot influence when (and if at all) the contributed modules will be compatible with PHP 7.3.6. I did some checks and found out that your webhosting provider is gandi.net. For a new webhsoting instance you can choose "Custom" instead of Standard and there you can select the PHP version. Thus I think that you should be able to change the PHP version for an existing instance afterwards via their administration. Or if not contact their support and ask them to change it for you to PHP 7.2.

You can tell them that you haven't seen that PHP 7.3 is the default for new instances and you didn't know that the website software is not compatible with it but requires PHP 7.2.

Hope this helps.

Alright, I only now opened the description of a new Satellite which states that, should've certainly done that before. Anyways, thanks.
