Hello there,

I was wondering if it is possible to create shapes that we can use and put it on the background?

For example, imagine that I want a picture of something, then a green box next to it and text on top of the box that is a description of the image, is that possible on the pages or not at all?

Thanks!

Hello Alexandre,

There are several ways to do it, mainly through the text editor features.

Specifically for the shape you ask, you can make a 1x2 table where the first cell has the pic while the second has the text. Then if you play with the Table and Cell properties you can define background colour, spacing etc.

Here's an example I made:

lolcat pic This is an example of lolcats with a green text box next to it !!!

Alternatively, if you want something more complex or flexible, I'd recomend to use a seperate WYSIWYG editor (like Dreamweaver or similar freeware) where you can design the content of the page and then copy paste the html code it produces.

Hope it helps !!

Hello Adam,

Thanks for the reply. Since it's always better to do a mock-up here you go. I could potentially do it simply with Photoshop but since it's non-sustainable, it might not be the best idea, and it would definitely be better if you could do it through the website directly, generating the shapes directly. Here you go:

Hi again Alexandre,

If I understand well what you would like to do (basically create text box of specific color, content and position) then the answer is unfortunately no. At least it's not something that you could directly do while editing your page. I suggest you to discuss your particular needs with your webmaster, or describing them more in detail here.

Best,

Adam
