ESNcard

 

Hello,

I'm an ESN local member, I'm trying to register my card, which is number 672740TVO9, but I can't complete the procedure because I get the message "ESNcard is already in use". How is this possible? I did my login through Galaxy, this is my only account, I only have this ESN card. How do I fix this? Can you check which account appears to be associated with my ESN card Number? I've tried contacting the assistence through the contact form on the ESNcard.org website, but they weren't helpful.

Hi Erik,

I must have completely forgotten that I registered my secretary account. I think it would be better if you delete my secretary account, if possible, because as you say it might be passed on to someone else if I don't get re-elected. If you can't move the esn card, maybe I can just register it again to the outlook account when the secretary one is deleted? Let me know when it's done, thank you.

Hi Ricardo,

I've been taking a look and it seems you have two accounts. 

  1. One account is with your outlook mail and is synced with galaxy. It doesn't have any ESNcard
  2. The second one is with your ESN Modena secretary account, and it has the card.

Because you used two different mails in galaxy and esncard, we couldn't match your accounts and sync them!

 

So, this is why we always say that never use your local esn mail account, because that means that the actual secretary of your section (maybe not you) has the access to that account. ALWAYS use your personal mail.

 

Anyways, how to fix this? What I could do is delete the ESNcard from the second account (ESNModena secretary) and then recconect it with your new account. Anyways, I need to make it doing some checks or you might lose all your vouchers you already have. 

Another option is to delete the new account, update the mail in the old esncard account and then, resync, and because it will have the same mail, it will sync the accounts properly.

Please, tell me what would you like to do, though I reccomend the second answer (I really need your answer as I don't want to delete your account without asking!)

I don't have their answer anymore because it's been a while, but I remember they suggested that I should register my ESN card using the account that I have by logging in through Galaxy in order to avoid confusion in registration, but that is already what I've done.
